Iran\u2019 a cultural country<\/strong><\/span><\/h3>

Iran (officially the Islamic Republic of Iran) is a large country located in the Middle East. It is bordered to the north by the Caspian Sea and the south by the Persian Gulf. With an area of 1,648,195 square kilometers, Iran is the 17th largest country in the world. It is a proof you have to spend more than a couple of days in Iran.<\/span><\/p>

Tehran, the capital city of Iran, is the country’s largest and most populated city. Isfahan, Shiraz, Tabriz and Mashhad are other major cities of the country.<\/span><\/p>

Persian (Farsi) is the official language of the country and is widely spoken. A large number of people also speak other languages\/dialects namely Azeri, Kurdish, Luri, Arabic, Baluchi, Gilaki, Mazandarani\/Tabari, and Turkmen.<\/span><\/p>

Iranian culture has long been a predominant culture of the Middle East and Central Asia, with Persian considered the language of intellectuals during much of the 2nd millennium, and the language of religion and the populace before that. The Sassanid influence carried forward to the Islamic world. Much of what later became known as Islamic learning, such as philology, literature, jurisprudence, philosophy, medicine, architecture and the sciences were based on some of the practices taken from the Sassanid Persians to the broader Muslim world. Recent archaeological studies indicate that as early as 10,000 BC, people lived on the southern shores of the Caspian, one of the few regions of the world which according to scientists escaped the Ice Age. They were probably the first men in the history of mankind to engage in agriculture and animal husbandry.<\/span><\/p>

The windswept dunes of the Lut Desert, the green and ambush Hyrcanian Forests in North of Iran,\u00a0and 24 cultural sites spanning thousands of years have been inscribed on the UNESCO list in Iran. Recently theTrans-Iran Railway\u00a0and the Cultural Landscape of Hawraman\/Uramanat have also been added to the list to make Iran a must-see land. Here is a brief description of these culrual, natural, historic\u00a0sites.<\/span><\/p>

The Islamic Republic of Iran, with rich and unique cultural history, can be one of the most influential and active players in this field around the world.<\/span><\/p>

Iran<\/strong>\u2019<\/strong>s Technology Situation (A Brief) <\/strong><\/span><\/h3>

Iran has a good position in the technology development, so that has developed more than before these years. Reports indicate recently that innovation ecosystem represents one of the main components of the digital economy in Iran. Review of Iran\u2019s global digital and innovation indexes and indicator ratings shows very promising improvements in the field.<\/span><\/p>

The Global Innovation Index 2022 examines 132 economies worldwide regarding their innovative strength. Based on the 80 selected criteria, a wide range of different subject areas are examined in the respective countries to create a ranking based on the results obtained. Iran ranks 62nd among the 132 economies featured in the GII 2023. Iran ranks 6th among the 37 lower-middle-income group economies and 2nd among the 10 economies in Central and Southern Asia.<\/span><\/p>

In the past decade, Iran\u2019s startup ecosystem has experienced significant growth, the number of startups in Iran has grown rapidly, focusing on local solutions to problems such as transportation, e-commerce, and healthcare. The ecosystem has also seen the emergence of several startup accelerators, venture capital firms, and co-working spaces to support the growth of startups.<\/span><\/p>

Knowledge-based Companies are another companies in Iran, in just eleven years, the number of such companies increased from 55 in 2013 to 9559 as of June, 2024. There are categories based technology, such as:\u00a0<\/span><\/p>

Some other companies based on innovation and creation are working in Iran, such as Innovation centers, Creative Companies, Creative and Innovation Houses, House of Innovation and Technology. Also Iran High-Tech Laboratory Network (called LabsNet) is another center that is developing science and technology and creating the effective communication between laboratories and researchers by sharing infrastructures and providing the universities and industrial researchers with laboratory services. Based on its report serves more than 1500 public and private laboratories in Iran. These laboratories include universities (45%), institutes and research centers (19%), companies (35%), and technology parks and incubators (1%).<\/span><\/p>

Iran has a good position in technological growth that creative and cultural contexts can improve its strength. Reports indicates Iran\u2019s situation such as culture, history, whole of sciences, geography can help technological development specially. So most of companies and startups are working as international companies.<\/span><\/p>
