The “National Tourism Award of Iran” event was held with the aim of developing and promoting new approaches in the field of tourism to The Soft Technology and Cultural Industries Park in the Chabahar Free Zone. The secretariat of the award is the responsibility of the National Park of soft sciences and technologies and cultural industries, and its final winners were introduced at the first national festival of creative and cultural industries of Iran, which was held from 25 to 27 of the month of 1404 in the province of Sistan and Balochistan (Chabahar). “Simplifying travel”, “easy and faster experience for travelers”,” new technologies in travel and tourism innovation in tourism services”,” protecting the culture and heritage of protecting identity and history by using new technologies and new technologies ” are the most important axes of this event.
The Chabahar Free Zone became the center of interaction of the country’s creative tourism ecosystem activists at the same time as the “National Tourism Award of Iran with a technology and innovation approach”. The national event was held in Bahman in 1404 with the Soft Technology and Cultural Industries Park and coincided with the first national festival of creative and cultural industries of Iran.
The park plays a prominent role in guiding this innovative flow and macro policies, as well as supporting the formation of the country’s technological tourism ecosystem by continuously pursuing the basis for greater cohesion among the actors in this field because the emphasis of the National Park of soft science and technologies and cultural industries is on the link between technology, creative industries and tourism, which has established a new approach at the national level; this approach does not consider tourism as merely a service activity, but defines it as a knowledge-based, cultural and value-creating industry.
Wide reception of participants
In the first two days of the event, the exhibition space became a field of interaction, networking and linking ideas, rather than just the location of the booths.
On the first day, the programs began with the preparation of teams, the replacement of booths and the design of presentations, but the exhibition space quickly became a platform for specialized interactions. From the early hours, professional dialogues were formed between teams based in the park and tourism activists from different cities of the country, and the field of acquaintance and exchange of experience among actors in this field was provided.
The second day of the event was followed by a focus on targeted networking. Teams of technology, tourism startups, creative industry activists and representatives of Provincial Parks entered into operational negotiations to define joint cooperation. These interactions led to the formation of synergies in the field of product development, marketing and design of innovative tourism services and turned Chabahar into a platform for connecting the scattered capacities of this industry.
Along with the exhibition section, specialized workshops focused on creative economy, cultural entrepreneurship, social issues of Tourism and new business models were held, which was accompanied by a wide reception of participants. This educational sector provided the opportunity to critique and complete ideas and analyze emerging tourism trends.
National Tourism Award of Iran: a platform for identifying innovative ideas
The organizers of the event consider the National Tourism Award of Iran as a platform to identify and empower innovative ideas and connect them to the market and capital. Chabahar has also become a symbol of the decentralization of innovation and attention to the capacities of less privileged regions in the development of the country’s creative economy.
With the continuation of specialized programs, jury of works and the introduction of the selected ones at the end of the festival, this event is expected to become a turning point in the path of the formation of the integrated ecosystem of technological tourism in Iran, an ecosystem formed on the basis of synergy, creativity and civilization’s view of development.
