One of the knowledge-based companies located in The Soft Technology and Cultural Industries Park has launched an online system called “We Hotel” to better manage hotels and travel agencies and optimize their reservation processes.
According to the public relations of The Soft Technology and Cultural Industries Park, Vahid Meshki, CEO of Pishkhan Hezare Sevom knowledge-based company, said: This company operates in the field of tourism information technology. One of this company’s products is the “We Hotel” system, which operates in channel management and central reservation. With the central reservation system, hoteliers and travel agencies can easily manage their reservations and have effective and efficient communication with all their colleagues on an online platform.
He added: The services provided by this complex are B2B; meaning ordinary people do not deal with this system. Given the functionality of the We Hotel Central Reservation System (CRS), all necessary items for a reservation, such as the availability of a hotel for booking, rates and existing data, and the reservation process itself, are provided to users with minimal time and in a systematic and automatic manner. So far, 150 hotels and about 300 travel agencies have connected to this system.
Referring to the challenges faced by this company in implementing this system, he stated: Currently, we are facing several obstacles to achieving our goals. One of these challenges relates to the hotel industry. Although the launch of this system has been beneficial for hoteliers so far, and some hotels have collaborated with this complex, most hoteliers are afraid of change. Also, very large and online agencies resist this system because they want to maintain their monopoly and have hindered the progress of this work.
He reminded: Hoteliers’ awareness of these systems is also low. Some hotel managers have little knowledge about the impact, usefulness, and market creation of this system. The hotel reservation department believes that this system will replace them. This is not the case. This system needs to be managed, and its management is in the hands of reservations. The more powerful and better their management becomes, the higher their sales will be. Their profit percentage will also increase. This system not only does not hinder the work of these individuals but also asks them to act more professionally to be profitable.
Meshki referred to the role of The Soft Technology and Cultural Industries Park in overcoming these challenges and said: So far, we have had several meetings with the Technology Deputy of The Soft Technology and Cultural Industries Park, and they provided guidance and consultations to this complex, which improved our activities. In fact, this park is a bridge between us and the industry and university sectors.
He continued: Many hotel management and tourism students studying at the University of Science and Culture at the bachelor’s and master’s levels can connect with the industry through this park.
He stated: It is planned to establish communication with neighboring countries like Iraq through the park to develop this system there. Also, it is planned to have necessary collaborations with other member companies of The Soft Technology and Cultural Industries Park to develop the tourism industry.
