A joint meeting was held between the directors of The Soft Technology and Cultural Industries Park and the BEFMA Association (BRICS Countries Film and Media Education Association). In this meeting, the necessity of establishing the BEFMA secretariat in Iran and providing an educational platform was emphasized.
According to the public relations of The Soft Technology and Cultural Industries Park, on Saturday, December 6, 2025, an online meeting was held with the presence of Dr. Ebrahim Nabioni, Deputy of Technology at The Soft Technology and Cultural Industries Park, Eng. Qasem Barati, Director of Companies Affairs at The Soft Technology and Cultural Industries Park, Dr. Mahdieh Shahrabi Farahani, Director of International Cooperation at The Soft Technology and Cultural Industries Park, Dr. Attar and Dr. Hossein Sheikh-ol-Eslam, Iran’s representative in the BEFMA Association (BRICS Education Film & Media Association), and Dr. Dragan Milinković, Executive Secretary of the BEFMA Association of BRICS member countries.
Currently, given the presentation of an educational platform plan in the BEFMA Association, with the aim of providing educational content for children and adolescents in BRICS member countries, The Soft Technology and Cultural Industries Park, as the official body in Iran, is responsible for coordinating and organizing the launch of this platform. In this meeting, topics such as the establishment of the BEFMA secretariat in Iran, the presentation of the educational platform, and other areas of cooperation were analyzed and discussed.
It is worth noting that BEFMA, which stands for BRICS Education Film & Media Association, was established in 2024 on the sidelines of the “Zero Plus” International Film Festival in Tyumen, Russia. Its main goal is to develop media, cinematic, and digital education for children and adolescents in BRICS countries and partner countries. The activities of this organization also include creating a special TV channel for BRICS educational films, holding joint festivals, developing media curricula, strengthening the digital skills of young people, and producing joint educational content.
